2018 John Deere E140

This 2018 John Deere E140 is a unique, extremely low-hour riding mower with just 5 hours showing and a 48-inch mower deck. While its exterior appearance may suggest more use at first glance, the cosmetic wear is largely the result of the machine being stored outside and exposed to the sun—not extensive operating hours.

Once you look past the sun exposure, the condition tells a very different story. The underside of the mower deck is exceptionally clean, the engine is extremely clean, and the tires still retain their original rubber frills, all consistent with a machine that has seen very little actual use. Mechanically, this E140 is in outstanding shape and has earned a 5/5 mechanical rating.

Before being offered for sale, the mower was thoroughly inspected and serviced with fresh oil and new filters. The blades, deck components, spindles, and applicable grease points were also inspected and serviced as needed. The machine does have cosmetic weathering from its time outdoors, which is reflected in its 3.5/5 cosmetic rating, and the seat cover shown is included with the mower.

For someone who cares more about mechanical condition and actual use than sun-faded cosmetics, this E140 represents an especially interesting opportunity. You’re getting a 48-inch John Deere with just 5 hours showing, remarkably clean mechanical components, and a complete service—all as part of Grindstone’s seasonal mower sale.
